The privacy of your data is a big deal to us. In this policy, we lay out: what data we collect and why; how your data is handled; and your rights with respect to your data. We promise we never sell your data: never have, never will.

What We Collect and Why

Identity and Access

When you sign up for Bedroom Producer, we ask for your email address. That's so you can log in to your account, and we can send you product updates and other essential information. We may also send you optional emails about new features or content.

We'll never sell your personal information to third parties.

Billing Information

If you sign up for a paid subscription, you will be asked to provide your payment information. Credit card information is submitted directly to our payment processor (Stripe) and doesn't hit our servers. We store a record of the payment transaction for account history and billing support.

Practice Data

We store your practice sessions, progress, and settings on our servers. This is so you can track your improvement over time and pick up where you left off. We keep this data as long as your account is active.

Analytics

We use Mixpanel to collect information about how you use Bedroom Producer. This includes things like which pages you visit, how often you practice, and general usage patterns. This helps us understand what's working and what we can improve.

Mixpanel collects your IP address to determine approximate location for analytics purposes. We do not use this for advertising or share it with other parties.

For users in the EU, we ask for your consent before enabling analytics. You can decline and still use the app fully.

Cookies

We use cookies for:

  • Authentication: To keep you logged in
  • Anonymous sessions: To track your progress even before you create an account
  • Analytics: To understand how you use the app (EU users can opt out)

Error Tracking

We use Sentry to track errors and bugs. When something goes wrong, Sentry captures information about the error so we can fix it. This may include technical details about your browser and the action that caused the error.

  • Access your personal data
  • Correct any inaccurate data
  • Delete your account and all associated data - contact us at hello@bedroomproducer.io to request deletion
  • Opt out of analytics (EU users see a consent banner)

Data Security

All data is encrypted via SSL/TLS when transmitted from our servers to your browser. We use secure, encrypted database connections and follow industry best practices for data security.

Data Retention

We keep your data as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete your data within 60 days.

Location of Data

Our services are operated in the United States. If you are located outside the United States, please be aware that any information you provide to us will be transferred to and stored in the United States.

Changes and Questions

We may update this policy as needed. Whenever we make a significant change, we will update the date at the top of this page.
